But how about one from this decade. If there has ever been a costume idea that has been over done it is an Elvis Costume. There are people right now in Las Vegas who are constantly sporting their Elvis Costume like Max in Where the Wild Things Are. Accept Max was like 10. We have left the world of blockbusters and live in a world of indie. So why should costumes stay behind the times? Sure an Elvis costume might be classic but that means it is not fresh or original.
Do You Have Options?
Regrettably, every other night, the music industry is full of people that seem to just live the life and look the part. Which is good for you, because you only have to pretend for a night. You can pull it off especially if you have some help. Most people do not know what specific Rock Stars look like. But they do know what a rock star looks like. And that is what you could bank on.
To help you connect to your costume try not washing you hair for a day or two and really let it grease up. This will save you money on a wig
Keep it Cool
And what if you are already good at guitar hero? Dont play remember you are a rock star now you have to act cooler than school. Now for some of you this idea is not going to work, because people already think you think you are in a band. So you might have to go ten steps further and rent a van and trailer for a night, it would be good for car pooling.
The last thing is going to be pick a band that is not on MTV. One that is a bit obscure so they actually realize wow I don’t know what Xavier de Rosnay from Justice looks like. Remember everyone knows what Elvis looks like and your $20 Elvis costume is not going to cut it no matter what.
And remember they are just regular people with sweet jobs.
